StatSheet's Horizon Player of the Week for January 28th goes to Alec Brown from Green Bay. StatSheet's Horizon Freshman of the Week goes to Cleveland State's Bryn Forbes. And finally, Brennan Cougill from Green Bay is the StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week.

Brown led the Horizon in scoring (20.5 pts per game). He also registered respectable numbers with 50% shooting and 7 rebounds per game. The Green Bay junior played well for the Phoenix in a win against Milwaukee and a loss to Valparaiso.

Brown topped all scoring for the Phoenix with 18 points while also adding 2 blocked shots in a 73-61 loss to Valparaiso. He followed that up by leading the team in scoring and rebounding with 23 points and 8 rebounds in a huge 74-54 win against Milwaukee.

This is the first time this season that Alec Brown has been selected StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week. However, he has been named a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is Keifer Sykes, a sophomore from Green Bay. Honorable mention goes to Ryan Broekhoff, a senior from Valparaiso. Kendrick Perry, who finished seventh, was the highest ranking player from Youngstown State.

StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week: Cleveland State's Bryn Forbes

Bryn Forbes averaged 37 minutes starting both games for Cleveland State. He led all Horizon freshmen in scoring (20.5 pts per game), three pointers (3.0 per game), and free throws (3.5 per game). In a 67-55 loss to Loyola (Chicago), Forbes led all scoring for the Vikings with 22 points and all rebounding with 5. Then in a 73-59 loss to Youngstown State, he led all scoring and rebounding, putting up 19 points and 7 rebounds.

This is a repeat honor for Bryn Forbes, making it the second time he has won StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week. Jordan Fouse from Green Bay gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to J.J. Panoske from Milwaukee.

StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week: Green Bay's Brennan Cougill

Senior Brennan Cougill, a 6-9 reserve forward/center, averaged 24 minutes of action over the two games for the Phoenix. In the loss to Valparaiso, Cougill added 7 rebounds and 57% shooting. After that, in the win against Milwaukee, he racked up 12 points and 6 rebounds.

This is the second StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week win for Brennan Cougill. Will Simonton, a sophomore center from UIC, is the runner up.
