StatSheet's Horizon Player of the Week for December 10th goes to Valparaiso's Ryan Broekhoff. UIC's Marc Brown has won StatSheet's Horizon Freshman of the Week. And last but certainly not least, UIC's Will Simonton has won StatSheet's Horizon 6th Man of the Week.

Broekhoff led all of the Horizon in three pointers (4.5 per game). He also had respectable numbers with 60% shooting, 3 assists per game, and 8 rebounds per game. The Valparaiso senior played well in a victory against IPFW and a loss to New Mexico.

Broekhoff led the Crusaders in scoring and rebounding with 21 points and 9 rebounds in a 63-52 win over IPFW. He followed that up with a team-leading 24 points and 7 rebounds in a 65-52 loss to New Mexico.

This is the first StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week honor for Ryan Broekhoff. The runner-up this week is senior Ben Averkamp from Loyola (Chicago). Honorable mention goes to junior Devon Long from Cleveland State.

StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week: UIC's Marc Brown

Marc Brown averaged 26 minutes as a starter for UIC. In an 81-43 waxing of Roosevelt, Brown rang up 7 points and 2 rebounds. Following that in a 64-55 win over Colorado State, he added 4 rebounds and 57% shooting.

This is the first StatSheet Horizon Freshman of the Week honor for Marc Brown. The runner-up is Bryn Forbes from Cleveland State. Honorable mention goes to Jeff White from Loyola (Chicago). Ryan Weber, who finished 7th, was the highest ranking freshman for Youngstown State.

StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week: UIC's Will Simonton

Sophomore Will Simonton, a 6-10 reserve center, averaged 18 minutes of action over the two games for the Flames. In the win over Roosevelt, Simonton added 5 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. During the win over Colorado State, he racked up 3 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

This is the first time this season that Will Simonton has won the StatSheet Horizon 6th Man of the Week. Bobby Capobianco, a senior forward from Valparaiso, is runner up. Evan Bruinsma, a junior forward from Detroit, receives honorable mention. Youngstown State players have not yet been named StatSheet Horizon Player of the Week this season.
